Teaching
“My goal is to promote student success through individualized instruction, open dialogue, and diverse perspectives. I hope to establish an environment that promotes collaboration and curiosity, and ignites a musical passion from within.”
Hayley has enjoyed teaching a wide variety of ages and groups of students. She has experience teaching elementary, middle, and high school band. Along with teaching the bands, she gave individual and group lessons to all students in the band, including the woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments.
In addition to teaching band, Hayley has taught Chorus and General Music at the 4th and 5th grade levels. She often used ukulele, piano, Orff instruments, and garage band while teaching about improvisation, rhythmic notations, various genres and styles, and women in music.

Hayley is teaching K-8 General Music in Pittsburgh, and last year she was teaching High School students from the Toledo Public School Area through the Bowling Green State University Music Plus Program.
